What is Summer All Stars?
Community Park Little League offers the opportunity to participate in the Summer All Stars program which gives players the opportunity to play competitive travel baseball throughout July and August on an A, AA, or AAA Pirates or Pixies team.
The Summer All Star program is organized at a high level by Little League Alberta, and is a tournament style program bringing teams together from Little League associations across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Summer ball usually begins in late June and runs through the August long weekend. Tournaments are played across Alberta (and possibly Saskatchewan) and travel is a requirement. Team fundraising helps offset the costs and parent volunteers are vital to the success of these teams.
There may be opportunity to progress to the Canadian Little League Championship and from there, the Little League Baseball World Series in South Williamsport, PA.
Other travel opportunities may also be available to these teams.
Once teams are formed, 3-4 practices per week, during week days occur and teams participate/travel to tournaments on the weekends. The Pirates and Pixies may host tournaments as well, if possible.
Players of the Summer All Star program must have participated in the regular season with Little League District 2.
Information on the 2024 program including costs and tryouts will be released during the regular season.
